MYSTERY SOLVED

The information on Ida (Watts) Choate was furnished by Jim and Sheryl Watts. According to Jim Watts, "Ida Watts Choate was born  in 1879 and died in 1947. Ida is buried at Watts Oklahoma.  She was the daughter of  Stokely and Mary Watts. Ida married Joe Choate, postmaster and first merchant in Spokane Missouri in 1899.  There is no relationship between Ida and Florence “Bailey” Cloud (the other subject in the photograph below).  However, Ida’s brother, Henry, married Florence’s sister, Leona Bailey in 1893.  Henry and Leona are the parents of Jake Watts of Galena (1913-1969) and grandfather of Jim Watts who provided this information.  Ida is the first of three Ida Wattses.  Henry’s daughter was Ida Watts Glossip of Spokane, and Henry’s son, Pearl of Fayetteville Arkansas had Ida Watts Neff (mother of Marleen Pellham of Springfield Missouri.)"
