UPDATE - MYSTERY SOLVED

September 11, 2000:  An email from Hazel Messenger stated that Windy Wilson pictured above was one of her cousins.  According to Hazel, Windy was born May 5, 1924 and died August 4, 1954 as a result of a car accident which occured between Crane and Galena, Missouri. Hazel described Windy as "a fun loving guy with a good personality."  He served during World War II - Baker Third Class U.S. Navy Seabees.

JoAnn received this message from Judy Wilson on September 7, 2000:

"I believe the picture of the young man labeled Winifred Wilson is that of Windy Wilson the son of Jess and Julia Wilson who lived in the Possum Trot Area most of their married life.  At one time they had the store at Possum Trot which was just in front of the school.  He was one of two children.  He had a younger sister  Roxie.  I am from the Clever area originally and verified this information with my mother and my mother in law."
